On 13th December 2012 The Tavern was relaunched as a steamlined version by popular demand of the cliental.

May all those who enter seeking good conversation and friendship find a warm welcome and a jar of hot grog by our roaring fire.

Dah - WC 60's

Jack, in case you didn't catch the answer to your poser, "By Jove she's got it" before the relaunch, it was said by Sir Reginald Carey "Rex" Harrison in "My Fair Lady".

His son, Noel (appropriate for the time of year - you'd almost think I was saving it - almost!) had a hit with "Windmills of Your Mind", the theme song to "The Thomas Crown Affair" (the 1968 version, not the more recent one) which starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway and featured a magnificent gliding scene.

By the way Dah, I saw the subtlety in your new name for the Tavern, "Jack & Alans HOSTILEry", not that it's likely to put anyone off.
