Dear All

I was very grateful to receive a copy of the Funeral/Memorial Card for Roy which is a lovely piece of work and I suspect it was probably compiled with his own involvement.

I guess there are many like me who would wish to see it and I am hoping to post a few scans of it here - perhaps in stages - so as not to overload the system.

So here goes with the first: the Front Page.

James

Glad you like it Jack. I reckoned many would like to read Roy's amazing story.
We are "on the road" and will arrive at Fleetwood later this morning to arrange the 3rd Reunion of Fleetwood Nautical College for September.

Very interesting indeed James, although I'm surprised Jack was available to reply to you, I thought he would be out celebrating Deanna Durbin's birthday, today 4th December (born in 1922 - birthday the same date every year since!!).  Smile  Smile

OK, well, technically there is only ONE day on which we are born i.e. one "birth" day, all the rest are anniversaries of that event.

Oh well you know what a stickler I am for accuracy - after all, I have a reputation (no matter how bad!) to maintain!!  Very Happy  Very Happy

Christmas Greetings Jack. Sorry to tell you the bad news: Deanna died last April 20th aged 91 in Neauphle-le-Chateau, la belle France. What a beautiful looking girl she was. I think I have heard some of her recordings: "I'll See You in My Dreams" rings a bell.
